German-Czech exchange in Weiherhammer
Workshop at training provider ÜBZO – the intercompany education and training centre in Eastern Bavaria
A delegation comprising members of the Weiden employment agency, the employment office in Pilsen, the Union of Employers' Associations of the Czech Republic and the regional chambers of industry and commerce from the Pilson region visited the Future Lab in the Science Parc in Weiherhammer. Together, the representatives shared their views on the national continuing education and training strategy, on vocational education and training, and on the role of employment agencies in Germany.
The workshop was opened by Thomas Würdiger, manager of the Weiden employment agency. He welcomed the guests with the help of an interpreter and thanked the hosting organisation ÜBZO for providing the premises in the new Future Lab.
The Czech guests were informed about the various themes of the national continuing education and training strategy adopted in 2019 and were very interested in measures relating to its implementation.
Carina Adam from ÜBZO gave a presentation on the tasks of an intercompany education and training centre and explained the cooperation between the agency and the training providers. The event concluded with a joint lunch and a tour of the training workshops.
