Health and Geriatric Care – Vocational and Further Training for Nursing Staff

Factors as diverse as demographic development, ethical and social responsibility, economic cost pressure, technical progress and a growing awareness of the importance of health play an important role in the health sector.

Not only in Germany the need for well-qualified nursing staff is growing. The increasing demand for skilled personnel is both a challenge and an opportunity for the field of education and training and plays a decisive role in the quality and effectiveness of care provision. Of particular importance is the investment in education and training programmes to ensure that nurses are able to meet the complex needs. 

With this online event, iMOVE supported German providers of education and training courses who have a special interest in the Indian education market in establishing new cooperation and business contacts. In short pitches, three educational institutions showed how they can qualify course participants from India in the field of health and geriatric care.

Szenaris

In collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg (HAW HH) in a project funded by the Federal Ministry of Health, SZENARIS has developed an online portal with 22 online learning modules on the subject of care, which can be worked on free of charge until the end of December 2023.

Since the target group also includes care personal with a migration background, the modules were developed in five languages (in addition to German, these are English, Spanish, Portuguese and Vietnamese). A Ukrainian supplement is currently being worked on. In the meeting the portal and the modules were presented.

The online event was conducted in English. The training providers showcased their training offers in 10-minute pitches. Following the presentations, many members of the audience joined breakout rooms to discuss with the panelists directly.
