Prize for innovative sustainability and digitalisation concepts
The 2022 Hermann-Schmidt prize is awarded to companies, vocational schools or cooperative arrangements which have excelled themselves specifically in the areas of sustainability or digitalisation in training and continuing education.
In addition to digitalisation, sustainability is seen as the key driver of change in the economy and in society. The "Innovative Vocational Education and Training" association [Innovative Berufsbildung e.V.] is therefore, this year, awarding the Hermann Schmidt Prize specifically to projects and initiatives which have developed and successfully implemented innovative concepts and models relating to sustainability and digitalisation in vocational training and continuing education.
Applications for the 2022 Hermann Schmidt prize must come under one of the two areas. According to the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training, projects and initiatives that effectively combine sustainability and digitalisation will be given preference when being selected. Particular importance is also being attached to measures supporting personnel working in training and continuing education.
Main prize and special prize
The 2022 Hermann Schmidt Prize is being awarded by an independent specialist jury. This total value of the prize money is €3,000. The jury is also able to award a special prize to up to three other entries in the competition, each is worth €1,000. The award ceremony will take place in public at an event in autumn 2022.
