Speexx wins International eLearning Award

In the context of the International Conference on eLearning in the Workplace (ICELW) 2013, which took place in New York from 12 to 14 June, the global online language learning solution Speexx received the International eLearning Award (Business Division) in the field of "Blended Learning".

Each year, the International E-Learning Association (IELA) awards honor outstanding projects and solutions in the fields of eLearning, Mobile Learning and Blended Learning. The jury places particular emphasis on the didactic use, efficiency, user friendliness and the general significance of a given learning solution.

Enterprises from all around the globe competed this year for the sought-after award, entering their innovative developments and product novelties. According to Dr David Guralnick, Chairman of the IELA Award Committee, this year's entries proved to be "of particularly high quality". A jury consisting of experienced experts from the e-learning industry selected the three winners from amongst the pool of applicants.

Speexx convinced the jury in the category "Blended learning" with its online language learning solution of the same name, which combines e-learning modules with live communication training and which is available for Business English, Spanish, German, Italian and French. The jury argued that the comprehensive and diversified learning elements of Speexx were particularly noteworthy as they provide learners with a range of very different goals and preferences.

Armin Hopp, founder and chairman of Speexx, explained, "Speexx is a cloud-based and technologically innovative learning platform, where employees can flexibly and independently develop their foreign language competences online while at the same time receiving supervision from a personal trainer. The perfect blend of self-study e-learning and live communication training contributed to our success in the category 'Blended Learning'."

Already, Speexx has received two Chinese e-learning awards, thus outdoing more than 100 competing training solutions. Speexx is a product by the German digital publishing AG (dp), a member in the iMOVE provider database.
