Indian industry delegation visits vocational education institutes in Germany

Representatives from Indian industry visited educational institutes in Germany from 23rd - 25th October 2013. The aim was to gain insight to the range of services provided by German vocational education institutions.

The 20-member delegation of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) was hosted by FESTO, a German industrial control and Automation Company, and Technical Inspection Association (TÜV) North, Germany.

iMOVE - the initiative to promote international business relations of German training providers with international public and private organisations - had led a delegation from North India to Dresden in July 2013. This time, they invited representatives from South India as guests to Germany. The delegation came from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Pondicherry.

iMOVE has been working closely with CII for years, within the framework of German-Indian Working Group on Vocational Education under the aegis of the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Indian Ministry of Labour and Employment. Apart from CII, iMOVE has been working successfully with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for years.
