iMOVE at Don Bosco Exposure and Dialogue Programme Workshop in Pune, India

iMOVE took part in the workshop "Training Skilled Workers - Encouraging Young People. Innovative Cooperation between Nonprofit Organisations and Enterprises in Vocational Education and Training", held by the Exposure and Dialogue Programme Association and the Don Bosco Mondo Association from 10 to 16 November 2013 in Pune, India.

16 German decision-makers from various sectors attended the workshop and discussed their experiences after they had resided in the households of Indian Don Bosco trainees in Mumbai and Pune.

They gained insight into the trainees' life and work routines and were able to make hands-on experiences on how young people benefit from vocational and skills training institutions supported by various enterprises and thus find ways out of poverty.

Anjali Sinha, iMOVE Office India, took part in the concluding dialogue workshop on 15 November and presented iMOVE's services in Germany, India and across the globe. In addition, she shared iMOVE's experiences of cooperating with Indian partners.

iMOVE and the Don Bosco Technical Institute discussed about finding means and ways of working together in the VET sector to ease the situation in India of an increasing lack of skilled workers and a rising unemployment rate at the same time.
