Indo German Conference: "How to Tackle the Skills Mismatch in India - A Company Driven Approach"

The President of the Federal Republic of Germany Joachim Gauck attended the two-day Indo German Conference on "How to Tackle the Skills Mismatch in India - A Company Driven Approach" at the Infosys Campus in Bangalore, Karnataka.

The conference had been initiated by the Bertelsmann Stiftung and the Infosys Ltd. The Bertelsmann Stiftung is one of Germany's largest private non-profit foundations with a strong focus on education and Infosys Ltd. is one of the largest Indian companies in the IT sector with more than 300,000 trainees over the past decades.

The main objective of the conference was to bring together German and Indian companies as well as senior officials of the Government and the civil society to share their experiences in the field of vocational education and training.
