Training Ace award ceremony: trainees are all keen to learn from these eleven trainers

Germany's eleven best trainers received the "Training Ace 2016" prize in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The prize acknowledges the commitment of companies and initiatives that provided particular support for the training of young people.

Iris Gleicke, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, commented, "The companies which have been awarded the Training Ace today are representative of the huge commitment shown by an incredible number of companies in Germany. As a result of their work, the dual vocational education and training project has become a successful project which — with some justification — has become the envy of the world."

The 'Next Generation German Economy' initiative [Junge Deutsche Wirtschaft] — an amalgamation of the Junior Chamber International Germany and the Junior Skilled Craftsmen — together with the INTER insurance group have been presenting the award for 20 years.

2,500 Euro is awarded for first place, 1,500 Euro for second and 1,000 Euro for third in each of the three categories. The INTER insurance group provides 15,000 Euro in total to support the award.

Sigmar Gabriel, German Minister for Economic affairs, is patron of the event.
