The training of professional competencies and the qualification of expert staff in practice-oriented training programmes are at the core of GECC’s activities, which has been opened on the premises of the German Centre Shanghai in May 2010 under the auspices of the Bavarian Minister of Economy Martin Zeil.
According to Zeil, the GECC incorporates the aims of Bavarian energy and technology politics. In order to design an innovative and efficient value creation process, Bavaria aims at the close cooperation of science, research, professional training and technology application. Highly-developed environmental technologies are supposed to contribute to sustainable global energy conservation.
The GECC is a platform for the German industry to present their products and services and to promote environmental technology from Germany. By working in close cooperation with schools and universities, young Chinese people will be introduced to German technology.
