In 2004 the German federal government and the central associations of the German economy have made an agreement to promote education, training and professional qualification. This National Education Agreement will be prolonged until 2014. The Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and the Authorized Representative of the Government for Integration Issues will now enter into the agreement and new challenges will be tackled.
The partners of the agreement and the Federal Agency for Labour will further focus their efforts on tapping the potentials of the education and training market.
They airm at offering both low- and high-performing youths a professional training with an officially recognised leaving certificate.
Further aims include: guarantee training maturity, expand and further develop professional orientation, support contacts between youths and companies, making new training opportunities available, restructure the transfer system between school and training, and improve the currently available data.
National Education Agreement will be renewed
