According to a joint press release by trade associations, the federal ministries, the standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and the Federal Employment Agency, "the situation of the training market has further improved in 2010."
The demographic development even had the effect that in some regions many companies were willing to accept new apprentices, but were not able to find a suitable applicant.
All partners of the German Apprenticeship Pact were able to fulfill their obligations according to their commitment:
- Every young person, willing and able to start job training, was offered an apprenticeship or training.
- Chambers and associations were able to establish 70,300 new training positions.
- 42,800 companies offered vocational training for the first time.
