German enterprises are willing to hire new staff. The German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) expects the creation of 400,000 new jobs in the next twelve months.
About one third of these projected jobs will be created by industry enterprises, says DIHK President Hans-Heinrich Driftmann in an interview with the "Hamburger Abendblatt". The expected growth is unprecedented in the history of Germany since 1989.
Companies from the engineering, electrical engineering, metal production and automotive industries are among the frontrunners in the search for new staff.
Other strong players on the job market can be found in the health sector (60,000 new jobs) and knowledge-based industries, such as IT, R&D, Consulting (60,000 new jobs).
