"Who wants to see hard-working craftsmen?" is the motto under which the Association for Vocational Education (FAA) invites children from daycare facilities on a regular basis. The children are supposed to gain insight into different trade professions.
Children of two daycare facilities in Berlin, for instance, learned a lot about the work of a carpenter and were allowed to grind and paint animal figurines themselves. Afterwards, in the hairdressing salon, they learned that a hairdresser has to do much more than just cut hair.
A visit to the FAA branch office, an educational institution for horticulture and landscaping, showed them that landscape gardeners not only cultivate plants, but also lay out footpaths and build low walls.
