Germany's best plastics engineer

For the first time, a young woman has passed her plastics technician apprenticeship as best graduate of the year Germany-wide. Katharina Köpfler learned her profession at the company F. Morat & Co. GmbH in Eisenbach.

For her achievements in her final exams she received the sponsorship award of the German Federation of the Plastics Industry which is worth 1,500 euros. In addition to the certificate and the prize, she became a member of the "Club of the Best" which meets regularly and services as an information and networking platform for young professionals.

For Katharina Köpfler this was her second apprenticeship. After school she was trained as a dental technician. After four years she felt a need for change. In accordance with her manual dexterity and her interest in technical processes, she completed her second apprenticeship which was reduced by one year.
