Best trainees from Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and its subordinate authorities honoured

In the course of an awards ceremony, the Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Economics and Technology, Ernst Burgbacher, honoured the best trainees to graduate in 2011 from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and the authorities in his area of responsibility.

State Secretary Burgbacher said, "the 16 examination candidates not only performed with outstanding achievement in their final exams, but have contributed to this major vocational education success by way of their entire performance throughout their training. Both the industry and public administration depend on a qualified young skilled labour force. A qualified vocational education is indispensable in order to be successful in competing for suitable skilled workers. By distinguishing the best examination candidates we intend to particularly underline the significance of vocational education at the BMWi and its subordinate authorities. At the same time it is our desire to credit with this award the notion of excellent performance in the field of vocational education. I wish to express my thanks to the chief instructors, who have supported the candidates during their training period, for their professional and personal commitment."
