German Training Award for Akademie für Führungskräfte

The Akademie für Führungskräfte (Academy for Executives, Überlingen/Bad Harzburg), a member of the iMOVE Provider database, has been awarded the International German Training Award by the Berufsverband für Trainer, Berater und Coaches (BDVT e. V. - Occupational Association for Trainers, Consultants and Coaches) in the category "Sales, Distribution, Customer Orientation & Marketing".

The academy receives the award in recognition of an integrated distribution development programme, which the academy had designed upon commission by the Takeda Pharma GmbH. The objective of the development programme that is scheduled to run over several years, was to provide parallel training for various competences.

On the one hand, the communication competences of distribution employees were to be further developed, on the other, their team spirit and target-oriented thinking were to be strengthened. This objective was achieved by combining generally qualifying trainings for all employees with specific workshops and coaching for individual employees and groups of employees.

Dr Simon Beck, Managing Director and In-house Manager of the Akademie für Führungskräfte, on the project, "the programme for Takeda Pharma is a systems solution, which allowed for the ideal combination of and linkage between executive, team and distribution development. As regards the team workshops for employees, we included coaching units for the line managers where necessary and combined this with the specialist qualification by way of separate sales trainings."

The competition jury praised in particular the "significant investment in the phase of analysis", whereby the academy was able to compile a fully individual training concept. The jury remarked that this resulted in a high degree of acceptance on part of the participants in a difficult market situation.

After a project phase of three years, Holger Schliecker, Head of Distribution at Takeda Pharma, likewise draws a positive conclusion, "the academy supported us during a time of significant restructuring activities. With the integrated distribution development programme, we jointly created sustainable values as regards the competence and resilience of our field representatives and executives."
