Continuing education is the password for permanent employment

In the recently published business report by the German Federal Employment Agency it is printed black on white: "The acquisition of professional qualifications remains the first and foremost goal." It states that the long-term and sustained integration of low-qualified people will continue to play a central part in the coming years.

"For low-qualified people, the situation on the employment market is persistently difficult, while at the same time the demands placed on the qualification of people in gainful employment continue to increase."

One well-proven and promising solution to the dilemma can be occupational continuing education or occupational re-training. "The investment in occupational education is well worth the while: It is proven that the participation in occupational continuing education measures improves the participants' chances on the employment market. Compared to similar job seekers who have not completed a continuing education measure, those who have are more frequently back in a job half a year after completing the measure", the business report continues to state.

The Institut für Berufliche Bildung AG (IBB – Institute for Vocational Education and Training) is a reliable partner with regards to occupational additional qualifications and in its nationwide more than 60 branches it offers numerous occupations for re-training; compared to regular vocational training, these courses can usually be completed in two thirds of the time.

Those requiring not complete re-training, but only a refresher course for existing expert knowledge can choose from a comprehensive continuing education offer of more than 1,400 continuing education courses. Most of these begin weekly, thus providing flexibility in getting started at any time.

All IBB offers are certified and therefore can be paid by way of an education voucher, provided that either the German Federal Employment Agency, a job centre, the German Federal Pension Fund or a similar body approves this measure; it is then free of charge for the participant. Moreover, all those interested are offered to in advance take part in free sample lessons.

The Institut für Berufliche Bildung was established in 1984 and today is one of the largest private providers of education in Germany. Already in 1996, the enterprise was the first supraregional provider of education to receive certification according to DIN ISO 9001 ff (DIN: German Institute for Standardisation; ISO: International Organisation for Standardisation).

Since six years ago, the IBB maintains its Virtual Online Academy "VIONA" with its focus on live lessons in virtual classrooms. Here, currently more than 1,500 participants from across the entire nation study daily under the guidance of specially trained tutors. The IBB thus is one of the largest German providers of virtual learning scenarios in the field of vocational education and training.
