Continuing education mastered: eight outstanding hygiene specialists

Four women and four men have now been recognised for continuing education in the NEW LIFE health academy.

On 15 November 2011 Kliniken Nordoberpfalz AG was one of the first institutions in Bavaria to start a continuing training programme in their academy for hygiene specialists in the healthcare sector.

The fifth course began in October 2015 with four women and four men enrolled. Winfried Haas und Achim Saffer achieved an overall grade of 1 (the top grade in Germany). The continuing education comprised 720 hours of theoretical/specialist practical teaching as well as at least 1,150 hours of practical training in the various areas in which hygiene specialists will work in the future. Having proved their abilities at the end of the course in a practical, written and verbal examination, they are now permitted to refer to themselves as "hygiene specialists".

Head of Continuing Training and Director of Care Thomas Baldauf along with Elisabeth Stahl and Regina Busch, Head of Pedagogy and Head of Specialism respectively for the continuing training, congratulated their eight successful protégés on completion of their continuing training.
