First Initial Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting Training for Oman Airports Management Company

Strategic Fire Solutions (SFS) successfully completed the first of a total number of 5 Classes of initial Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) Training for Fire Officers and Firefighters of Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC).

As official certified training institute by the Omani Civil Aviation Authority (PACA), the SFS aviation team designed and performed the training to meet the recommendations requested by the Omani Standard CAR 139 as well as ICAO Annex 14 and EASA 139/2014.

The training consisted of a theory part covering topics like Aircraft Familiarization, ARFF tactics, extinguishing agents as well as a practical part of "live fire Training" using a 747-real size simulator. The training was also enhanced by an Aircraft Familiarization site visit to DHL Hub at Leipzig/Halle Airport.

The course ended with an official graduation ceremony with participation of the German-Arab Chamber of Commerce (Ghorfa).
