Five of the federal state's eight best Chamber of Industry and Commerce trainees come from the district of Zollernalbkreis
In the summer and winter examinations, around 2,500 trainees sat their final examination with the Reutlingen Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in more than 100 IHK occupations.
Despite constantly changing requirements due to the coronavirus pandemic, 99 trainees managed to come top in their training, achieving the examination grade of "excellent". This meant they achieved 92 or more out of a possible 100 marks.
The best eight in the federal state were on hand to represent all of the top performing trainees and were presented their award by Christian O. Erbe, President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The following information was also issued in a Chamber of Industry and Commerce press release:
High quality of dual vocational education and training
At the official presentation of the awards, the IHK president also paid tribute to the role of company trainers and teachers in vocational schools. In Erbe's view, all have "delivered excellent work in training conditions which have once again been made more challenging. Without them, it would not be possible to maintain the high quality of dual vocational education and training".
Erbe also paid tribute to the more than 1,400 voluntary examiners. "Their commitment forms the basis on which we are able to examine the skilled workers of the future on behalf of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce companies."
