German-Thai Dual Excellence Education Program

Mercedes-Benz presents German-Accredited Certificates to Graduates of Automotive Mechatronics Technician (AMT) Dual Training Program.

Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Limited organized a graduation ceremony for the 27th batch of students in the Automotive Mechatronics Technician (AMT) Dual Training Program.

All 29 graduates achieved a Level B vocational certificate in automotive mechatronics under the German-Thai Dual Excellence Education Program (GTDEE) and Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) is recognized as the first Thailand-based company which successfully implemented such level of vocational education in the country.

In addition, these students are the first group of Thai vocational students who received a higher vocational certificate issued by Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) in Germany.

The recent ceremony was presided by Mr. Michael Grewe as President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Limited, Dr. Roland Wein as Executive Director of the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Karl Adam as Third Secretary of Ecomomic and Commercial, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bangkok.

Every graduate has been selected to be a service staff member of 15 Mercedes-Benz authorized distributors across the nation namely TST Mercedes-Benz Company, Limited (Co., Ltd.), Chantaburi JP Motor Co., Ltd., Benz BKK Vipawadee Co., Ltd., BKK Autohaus Kanchanapisek Co., Ltd., Chitchai Chonburi Co., Ltd., TTC Motor Ubon Ratchathani Co., Ltd., Thonburi Phanich Co., Ltd. (Lumpini branch), Thonburi Phanich Co., Ltd. (Ngamwongwan branch), Benz Praram 3 Co., Ltd., Benz BKK Group Co., Ltd., MB Korat Autohaus Co., Ltd., Thonglor Group Co., Ltd., Thonburi Phanich Co., Ltd. (Rachadamnoen branch), Benz Petcharat Co., Ltd., and Suanluang Autohaus Co., Ltd.

The Automotive Mechatronics Technician Dual Training Program is a two-year higher vocational education course offered by Mercedes-Benz under a partnership of the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce, Samutprakan Technical College, Eastern College of Technology, and Don Bosco Technological College.

Throughtout the program, eligible students will be mentored by certified trainers from Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Limited at a facility called "Mercedes-Benz Competence Centre (MBCC)" located on the 19th kilometer of Bangna-Trad Highway. Aside from countless first-hand opportunities to systematically and efficiently practice with actual Mercedes-Benz vehicles, they will also simulteneously gain learning insights on latest breakthroughs in automotive innovations such as safety systems, hybrid engine technology, and groundbreaking electronic systems for vehicles.

All the students will be awarded scholarship from the Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers and they will automatically be hired to work at the After-Sales workshop of Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers right after graduation. This should ensure owners of Mercedes-Benz that they will always get finest, well-executed services from certified technicians under the exact standards of Mercedes-Benz practicing globally.
