Germany's eleven best trainers are recognised

At the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the "Training Ace" award was presented to Germany's eleven best trainers. The aim of the "Training Ace" award is to support and recognise outstanding commitment shown in preparing young people for professional life.

Dr. Sabine Hepperle, Head of the SME Policy Department at the BMWi commented: "The companies and training initiatives which we are selecting today as "Training Aces" are outstanding examples of our strong dual education and training programme in Germany. Not only do they win prize money, but they are also ensuring the supply of well-trained employees over the long term, which is worth its weight in gold, particularly in times of shortages of skilled workers."

In cooperation with the INTER insurance group, the Junior Chamber International Germany and the Junior Skilled Craftsmen have been presenting the award for 21 years. Brigitte Zypries, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, is the patron this year. €2,500 is awarded for first place, €1,500 for second and €1,000 for third in each of the three categories. Winners of the special prize each receive €500.
