Positive trend in training market over past year
According to the latest analysis from the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB), the supply of company-based training places rose by 3.2 per cent compared to 2017 and, at 574,200, was the highest ever since 2009. However, the number of unfilled training positions (57,700) was three times as high as in 2009. The chances of young people finding a training position were therefore better than ever before in the last 10 years.
