    Corporate Profile

    IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH is an independent consulting company working for both public donor organisations and private enterprises in Germany and abroad, mainly in the fields of sustainable agriculture and rural development. A central cross-cutting theme for all fields of expertise is capacity building and training of stakeholders to guarantee sustainability and empowerment. Since its foundation in 1981, IAK has built a strong network of more than 5,000 highly-qualified experts and numerous cooperation partners.

    Currently, IAK is providing extension services to more than 180 farms and agro-enterprises in Germany with more than 60,000 cows and 270,000 ha arable land in total. Those services include:

    • Consulting services on strategic business development, investment and funding programs;
    • On-site training for farm managers and technical staff of cooperatives and agricultural enterprises;
    • Specific training and further qualification for staff members for cattle breeding and dairy enterprises.

    In the frame of commercial consulting services abroad we bring experience and know-how gained from our extension activities in Germany. The thematic focus is placed on:

    • Development of strategies and business management concepts for agricultural enterprises, educational centres and pilot farms;
    • Introduction of modern technologies for agricultural production, processing and marketing and practical training;

    Moreover, we provide international cooperation services on behalf of national and multinational donor agencies. Main topics in the field of international cooperation are:

    • Agricultural technical and vocational education and training (ATVET);
