iMOVE: What is the name and background of your organisation?
Wolfgang Rautenberg: IBC Academy - formerly a training department of Germany's largest Financial Institution - has outstanding competence in International Human Resource Development. IBC is committed to high-quality training based on Germany's long-standing tradition and reputation in the field of Professional Education "Made in Germany".
iMOVE: Which services in the field of vocational education and training do you offer?
Rautenberg: We offer planning and setting-up of vocational colleges and academies in transition countries according to the German Dual System, including curriculum design, methodology and train-the-trainer courses. Among our services is also Advanced Professional Training, focussing on the areas of banking and finance, business development and advanced software development. Our International Management Development programme focuses on "Global Leadership Challenge", international management skills and international HR development.
iMOVE: What are your international business experiences?
Rautenberg: After its foundation in 2001, IBC Academy was active in all areas of international learning and development, gaining a wealth of experience in international cooperations primarily in China, Indonesia and South Eastern Europe.
iMOVE: Which key service do you have on offer for a successful cooperation with international partners?
Rautenberg: To illustrate our experience in setting up vocational colleges "Made in Germany" with local partners, I'd like to give you an example from China.
3 years ago we got in contact with the City Government of Xiamen, which planned to establish a vocational training college focussing on International Business Administration with emphasis on International Trade. We signed a contract with a private Chinese Investor who provided the premises, the equipment and the teachers. We provided the German curricula and aligned them with the Chinese learning contents with regard to the official Chinese learning requirements in this area. We trained teachers and - during the start-up phase - we assigned a German vice dean and a German trainer to the college to support the process and get the ball rolling. In June this year the first age group of students will be graduating.
