"Building an Egyptian BIBB" was the request the International Cooperation and Advisory Services Section of the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) was commissioned with by the Industrial Training Council (ITC) of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MIT) of Egypt.

The so-called Country Reports offer a general overview regarding the vocational training systems of the various European countries. A new edition of the country report on Germany “VET in Europe – Country Report Germany 2010“ is now available on the internet.

The BMW Group maintains a high number of new apprentices once again this year. In Germany alone, 1,080 young people have started their careers as apprentices with the BMW Group in august and september. Worldwide that figure is 1.124. With an apprenticeship quota of five per cent, the BMW Group remains among the leaders in the automobile industry and demonstrated its longterm commitment to vocational training.
About 1,000 participants from more than 50 member countries of WorldSkills International will compete in Leipzig from July 2nd to 7th. They are the best trainees and experts in the age group of young people up to 22 years.
