Kambodscha: Ausbildungsprogramm soll ausländische Investoren anziehen
Die Asiatische Entwicklungsbank (ADB) lobt Kambodscha für die Investition von 1,5 Millionen in Berufsbildungsprogramme für junge Menschen aus armen und gefährdeten Familien. Die ADB sieht in gut ausgebildeten jungen Menschen auch die Chance, ausländische Investoren nach Südostasien zu locken.
ADB praises Cambodia's 1.5 million technical skills training programme as a key opportunity to attract foreign investors
Ms Rachel Thompson, Executive Director of the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), on February 6, 2024, commended the Royal Government of Cambodia in its seventh mandate for launching vocational training programmes for 1.5 million target young people from poor and vulnerable families.
This statement was made during her courtesy call and Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training at the Ministry.
During the meeting, the Minister outlined to the ADB counterpart the strategic plan of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training to train young people from poor families in accordance with the sacred intention of the head of the Royal Government to see Cambodian youth as the main economic driving force, have specific skills in line with the standard, and have clear training qualifications, which is a factor that makes the trainees get a decent job to improve family life.
At the same time, Ms Thompson stressed that technical training for young people is a key opportunity for Cambodia to develop the country and attract investors looking to Southeast Asia.
The Minister thanked the ADB for its high evaluation of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s national training program. At the same time, the Minister also thanked the ADB for always supporting the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training from the beginning.
Finally, the ADB side confirmed to the Minister that the ADB is ready to continue its support of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training on its priority plan to continue to improve employment, social security, and vocational training to be even better.
