Ministry of Labour continues 545 vocational and technical training courses nationwide

As of February 18, 2024, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training is conducting 545 vocational and technical training courses nationwide. This is according to Katta Orn, Secretary of State and spokesman for the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, on February 19.

According to the spokesperson, among the more than 500 classes, there are 125 in construction, 8 in electricity and energy, 19 in electronics, 21 in manufacturing, 85 in general mechanics and car mechanics, 120 in business and information technology, 35 in service classes, 66 in air-conditioning facilities, 41 in tourism, and 25 in agriculture and agro-industry, for a total of 12,112 students.

He added that in order to promote and mobilise the target youth to enrol in vocational and technical education, the Ministry has launched a campaign on social media (Facebook, Telegram, YouTube, and TikTok), as well as a live campaign in the neighbourhood and in the backyards of poor and vulnerable families, and trained trainers to use digital enrolment programmes to assist target groups in enrolling in training programmes.

He emphasised that since the official opening of the school year on January 15, 2024, technical training institutes across the country have been continuing their training smoothly, and students enjoy studying with teachers who have both theory and practice. In particular, some institutes have already sent their trainees for internships at private companies.

Katta Orn called on young people from all over the country to enrol in this vocational and technical school because all training institutes across the country continue to accept students to enrol forever.
